Process Engineering Manager Job Description

The Process Engineering team plays a vital role in developing and implementing stable manufacturing processes, ensuring the reliability of Cochlear's implantable hearing solutions.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Process Engineering department as we continue to push the boundaries of innovation and excellence in the field of medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of Process Engineers who share your passion for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders globally to drive long-term strategies that align with our mission and goals.
  • Analyse current processes to identify opportunities for enhancement and implement meaningful changes.
  • Support the development of robust and reliable manufacturing processes within Cochlear and at suppliers of manufactured components.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Leadership experience and strong communication skills, including the ability to manage difficult conversations and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Experience in GMP, DFA, LEAN manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodology is highly desirable.
