Job Summary:

  • The Advanced Practice Provider cares for our patients within the scope of training and approved agreement, as outlined by their governing board.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary Care Services: Perform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, develop comprehensive medical assessments, and order laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies appropriate for complaint, race, sex, and physical condition of the patient.
  • Patient Management: Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals of patients to the appropriate healthcare facilities, agencies, and other resources of the community or physician.
  • Clinical Analysis: Interpret and analyze patient data to determine patient status, patient management, and treatment.
  • Health Promotion: Provide instructions and guidance regarding health care and healthcare promotion to patients/family/significant others.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Effective Communication: Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family.
  • Professional Image: Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Certification: ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified – (with 1 year ER/UC experience preferred).
  • Licensure: Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required.
  • Multi-tasking Ability: Able to multi-task and work independently.
