Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse to join our team at a residential aged care home in Hervey Bay. As an Enrolled Nurse, you will work under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide total resident-centred nursing care.

  • Assess individual resident needs and develop comprehensive care plans that meet their unique requirements.
  • Perform nursing tasks with efficiency and sound judgement, utilising a planned and organised framework.
  • Implement evidence-based nursing practices to achieve identified outcomes and promote safe outcomes for residents and staff.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Delegate tasks to staff members based on their level of competence and expertise.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated competence in nursing practice, with experience in residential aged care an advantage.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and common law pertaining to enrolled nursing practice.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and residents.
  • Willingness to participate as a team player and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement and high standards of resident care.
