Job Title:

Technical Support Specialist


Role Overview:

This is a key role in delivering expert technical support for Windows commercial devices and deployment scenarios.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and resolve complex customer technical issues, providing guidance to customers and collaborating across teams.
  • Develop communities and share knowledge through readiness programs, technical coaching, and mentoring of others.
  • Enhance technical and professional proficiency to address complex customer issues through training and readiness.
  • Contribute to product and process improvement by engaging with Microsoft Engineering/Supportability teams.

Qualifications:

Australian citizenship is required. The following qualifications are essential:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical support, technical consulting, or information technology; or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field accompanied by 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of Windows System Administration basics, including Registry, Windows Activation, Windows Setup and Upgrade, Windows Update, and Windows Security.

Desirable skills include experience managing Windows Update for Business, Windows Setup & Upgrade scenarios, Windows Activation processes, BitLocker and TPM management, Defender Application Control, and Smart App Control.
