Airside Team Member

Elevate your career in the aviation sector as a Customer Delivery Driver with a leading catering company in Brisbane.

This permanent full-time position is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team committed to safety and service excellence.

As a member of our Airside team, you are responsible for loading catering onto aircraft, driving vehicles, and interacting with airline cabin crew.

You will load fully stocked aircraft trolleys onto hi-lift trucks, drive to the aircraft, guide the vehicle for safe approach, load carts onto the aircraft, and work with airline cabin crew to ensure everything is correct. You will also remove empty carts and head back to the catering facility.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Short distance driving and basic vehicle checks, including re-fueling.
  • Safely load and unload trucks and aircraft with catering, carts, and ovens.
  • Guide and position trucks in line with company and airport policies.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Airline cabin crew for aircraft servicing and delivery hand over.
  • Coordinate with dispatch aircraft timings and flight delivery allocations.
  • Administrative documentation, reporting, and general cleaning duties as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Clean MR or HR driver's license.
  • Ability to perform frequent manual handling tasks.
  • Safety First Mindset, always be aware of surroundings, practice proper techniques per our company standard training.
  • Flexibility working around flight schedules is essential.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Neat and tidy presentation.
  • Availability to work 38 hours/week.
