Procurement Manager

About the Opportunity

This role oversees procurement and contract management activities, ensuring effective and efficient practices that align with organisational goals and comply with relevant policies.

The Procurement Manager provides expert advice and uses their written and interpersonal communications capabilities to foster a culture of best practice in procurement.

The role is accountable for:

  • Providing strategic commercial and procurement advice to internal stakeholders
  • Leading and managing procurement practices across the organisation
  • Facilitating tender processes and providing expertise regarding procurement policies and laws
  • Ensuring compliance with government purchasing and contract management policies
  • Providing procurement and contract reporting to key stakeholders
  • Overseeing the completion of contracts and agreements related to procurement

About You

In addition, you will come to us with:

  • A relevant degree or postgraduate diploma (e.g. in business or commerce) or equivalent professional experience
  • Significant experience in leading and managing end-to-end procurement processes
  • A strong understanding of government purchasing and contract management policies and practices
  • Proven ability to develop and implement efficient and effective procurement strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prepare high-quality reports and briefings
