We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Demi Chef to join our kitchen team. As a Demi Chef, you will be responsible for working directly with our Head Chef in managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
- Developing menus and estimating food and labour costs
- Liaising with suppliers and ensuring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and adhering to regulations regarding freezing and preserving foods
- Completion of a relevant Commercial Cookery qualification including Cert IV and a Diploma of Hospitality
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Suitable candidates will possess a strong work ethic, ability to perform under pressure, and a positive, punctual and professional approach. Familiarity with food safety and OHS guidelines is also essential. We offer a dynamic workplace where you can continue to learn and develop your skills under the guidance of a supportive management team.
