About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Aurizon. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing procurement activities for Above Rail categories, including Mobile Plant & Equipment and Bulk and Containerised Freight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Lead medium complexity sourcing activities, contract negotiations, warranty, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Manage relationships and contracts with Tier 2, 3, and 4 suppliers, supporting the Category Management Leader with Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks related to category management and sourcing.
  • Monitor and report on benefits and performance outcomes related to procurement activities.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant legislation and corporate policies, driving continuous improvement initiatives with a strong commercial and business acumen.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in negotiating and managing commercial relationships within an ASX-listed company. A Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is preferred, along with nationally recognized commercial accreditation (e.g., CIPS, CA, CPA, CFA). Strong technical knowledge in procurement and supply chain management is essential, as well as proven ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities effectively.

Aurizon offers a competitive salary package of $120,000-$180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits including discounts on selected health insurance funds, personal travel, gyms, vehicles, and retail brands.
