The Department of Education is responsible for delivering and regulating state-wide learning and development services to approximately one-third of all Victorians. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead regulatory reform projects, providing expert legal advice on government law issues.
About the RoleThis is a rare opportunity to join the executive leadership team as Project Director of the newly formed Regulatory Reform Unit (RRU). As the RRU leads legal aspects of significant legislative projects, including initiatives to improve child safety in early childhood services in Victoria, the Project Director will lead a small team of lawyers to deliver these projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expert legal advice focusing on government law issues, especially Victorian laws related to government administration and the education system.
- Leveraging relationships with stakeholders to drive project outcomes.
