About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team at BTA Sales. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that align with our business objectives, overseeing all HR functions, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support business growth and objectives
  • Manage one direct report, an HR Coordinator, and provide guidance and support to ensure successful performance
  • Lead recruitment, training, and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
  • Oversee performance management and employee relations, ensuring compliance with Australian Industrial Relations and Employee Relations legislation
  • Collaborate with the leadership team on strategic planning and operational execution
  • Manage HR projects, policies, and initiatives with a focus on diversity, equality, and inclusion
  • Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes employee wellbeing and motivation
  • Drive meaningful change and enhance workplace efficiency by advocating for continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements
  • Extensive experience in a human resources generalist or management role, ideally within the manufacturing industry
  • Certification in human resources, training and assessment, or similar
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage performance, conflict resolution, and employee relations issues effectively
  • Emotional intelligence and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion
  • A current driver's licence and the ability to travel to different locations as required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Australian Industrial Relations and Employee Relations legislation
  • A degree in business, human resources, psychology, organisational development, or similar
  • Experience in diversity, equality, inclusion, and belonging initiatives
  • Strong presentation and training skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff
