Public Sector Specialist

As a talented professional, you will join our JLT Public Sector team to deliver exceptional services. This role is based in the Brisbane office and requires at least three days of on-site work per week.

This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the local government sector. You will be responsible for:

- Responding to queries from LGM Liability members regarding liability covers
- Overseeing the annual membership process and placement of scheme covers
- Assisting with placement of ancillary covers where required by any member
- Developing risk guidance materials for members

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- A high school certificate or equivalent
- At least two years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a broking/operational role, insurance-related or legal field
- Excellent customer service skills
- High-level communication skills, including interpersonal, negotiation, professional writing, and consultation skills
- Ability to plan, organize, and work independently, with associated ability to prioritize work goals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

The ideal candidate will possess:

- Legal, risk management, or governance qualifications or background
- Knowledge and understanding of the local government environment and relevant federal and state laws, regulations, and accredited standards
- High level of integrity when dealing with sensitive, confidential information
