Overview

Regional Digital Development Officer: L&D Specialist - Public Sector People

Public Sector People are working with a government organisation within Brisbane who are seeking a Senior Learning & Development Officer on a unique 6-month contract + extension. This opportunity will be an Australian first and this is your opportunity to get in on day 0 and be a part of a unique project.

Pay: From $76 hour + 11.5% super

Location: South Brisbane/CBD

Client: State Government

Start date: ASAP

Contract length: 6-month contract with extension

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday – WFH

The Role
  • Design, develop, and deliver culturally appropriate e-learning content and blended training programs to enhance digital and professional capabilities of First Nations peoples.
  • Identify the skills required for the role against a Digital Skills Framework and develop a matrix of skill competencies.
  • Engage and consult with relevant stakeholders to define role requirements and codesign delivery models.
  • Identify existing training or develop content to support professional development.
  • Facilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions to build knowledge‑sharing capacity across 30 Indigenous Knowledge Centres.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure training programs are respectful, relevant, and aligned with Indigenous cultural values and learning styles.
About You
  • First Nations People are encouraged to apply
  • 5+ years' experience in training development and delivery, preferably within community and local council projects.
  • Qualification in Training, Education, Human Resources, or other relevant field or equivalent work experience in these fields and demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), learning tools, and virtual training platforms (e.g., Articulate).
  • Demonstrated experience in producing high quality training and materials that meet the criteria specified with project management and learning frameworks.
