Theatre Support Professional

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Theatre Assistant to join our team at Prince of Wales Private Hospital. As a Theatre Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating theatres, providing exceptional patient care and support to our surgical teams.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care and support to patients undergoing surgery
- Maintain and clean theatre equipment to ensure optimal functionality
- Assist in patient transportation to and from the theatre complex
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
- Ensure patient and staff safety through adherence to protocols and procedures
- Develop and maintain sound knowledge of theatre equipment and safe use practices
- Utilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure minimal downtime
- Process and complete documentation to a high standard, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Authority to work in Australia
- Prior experience in a hospital environment (desirable)
- Prior experience as a Theatre Assistant or Wardsman (desirable)
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts
- Working with Children check
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
