Electrical Project Lead

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Project Lead to join our Perth team on a full-time basis. As part of our multi-disciplinary group, you will work on various building and infrastructure projects with a strong focus on Health, Defence, Mission Critical, Science + Technology, Commercial and Social Infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will excel in both business development and technical delivery. You will be responsible for inputting into proposals, developing client relationships, securing new opportunities, and delivering projects from initial concept through to construction completion.

As an Electrical Project Lead, you will be expected to apply your technical skills and demonstrate commitment to ensuring projects are thoroughly designed, reviewed, and delivered on time. You will service projects of varying sizes, complexity, and multiple clients.

Our diverse project types include data centres, health, defence, high-rise, industrial, education, etc. The successful candidate will work in a strong team environment and manage several projects at any one time. You will be self-motivated, resourceful, growth-focused, and a great communicator.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Technical planning and management of projects from master planning to installation and commissioning.
  • Business development activities, including proposal input, generating opportunities, networking, and client servicing.
  • Demonstrating technical knowledge and providing oversight to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Providing electrical designs for various building projects, including reports, studies, design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • SUPPORTING AND GUIDING ENGINEERS AND GRADUATES FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE.
  • Representing us externally to clients and managing these relationships.
  • Preparing presentations and presenting to external clients.
  • Liaising with authorities and contractors.

To be successful, you'll need:

  • A degree-qualified Electrical Engineer (Chartered preferred).
  • Proven experience in a design consultancy environment, with a strong track record of client engagement and project leadership.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for building client relationships and growing business pipelines.
  • Strong connections in Perth and confidence in business development.
  • Willingness to establish and maintain strong client relationships for repeat opportunities.
  • Experience in planning and managing successful projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
