Job Opportunity

Global Medics is partnering with the Northern New South Wales Local Health District to recruit a Psychiatrist to work across both Acute Care Services and Mental Health Emergency Care. The role is a 50/50 split between the two areas, based in Lismore, a vibrant regional city, renowned for its rich cultural heritage and proximity to pristine rainforests and national parks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads a multidisciplinary team to provide specialist psychiatric services to patients.
  • Promotes patient safety and quality of care.
  • Provides leadership, orientation, training, supervision, and education for doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners, and other health workers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated clinical skills and experience working with mental health problems in Adult Mental Health.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
