
Medical Officer or Specialist in Addiction Medicine

We are seeking a Medical Officer or Specialist in Addiction Medicine to join our team at Lismore AOD. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering quality care to our patients and clients.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and management of alcohol and other drugs services in response to clinical demands.
You will be responsible for providing contemporary, comprehensive recovery focused Specialist Addiction services at the primary facility and other facilities where applicable.
In addition to your clinical expertise, you will provide clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist in Addiction Medicine, and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways.
You will also require a proven track record of achievement in the development and management of alcohol and other drugs services, sound knowledge and understanding of Commonwealth and State policy in alcohol and other drugs, and demonstrated ability in providing clinical leadership and working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
We value your commitment to teaching and professional training, research and quality improvement in a public AOD setting.
As part of this role, you will participate in an on-call roster and respond on site within a reasonable time.
Valid unrestricted driver licence for use in NSW/Australia is essential.
