Postgraduate Teaching Opportunities in Data Science

Casual lecturers are required to teach at the postgraduate level in data science and analytics. The overall purpose of these lecturers is to facilitate engaging, interactive structured classes, mark assignments, and provide regular feedback and consultation to students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver memorable, highly interactive workshops for postgraduate students
  • Mark assessments promptly and provide comprehensive, actionable feedback
  • Foster strong, productive relationships with students
  • Provide regular support and consultation to students, ensuring their academic success
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A passion for teaching and mentoring in data science and analytics
  • A PhD or Master's degree in a related field, along with relevant work experience
  • Industry leadership experience in data science is highly valued
  • Experience in coordinating subjects at a tertiary level is desirable
  • An appreciation for the distinction between lecturing and educating
  • Sensitivity to the needs of international students
  • Ability to provide comprehensive, thoughtful marking and feedback
  • Capacity to meet tight academic deadlines
