Senior Lecturer IT

The International Health & Science Institute is a newly approved provider of higher education (TEQSA number PRV14369) with a focus on Information Technology and Cybersecurity. Our first course offering is a Bachelor of Information Technology and Cybersecurity, with more courses to come. Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Senior Lecturer in IT & Cybersecurity, for an upcoming Master of IT & Cybersecurity. The main campus is located in the Blacktown.

The Senior Lecturer will be responsible for developing or reviewing existing course materials, delivering lectures, labs, conducting research and supervising students in their work placements. The role also includes mentoring students, marking assignments and participating in faculty meetings and academic committees to ensure high-quality education standards.

Qualifications

• PhD in an IT and Cybersecurity or closely related discipline
• Extensive and demonstrable knowledge and experience in Information Technology
• Proficiency in Teaching, Training, and Lecturing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
• Experience in academic research and publication
• Industry experience and qualifications (CISSP, CISA, etc)

Mandatory:

• PhD in an IT and Cybersecurity or closely related discipline
• Full working rights in Australia
• Publications produced in the past 3 years
• A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position at other higher education providers
• Experience or active engagement with industry in an area relevant to the field of study of the subject
• Strong commitment to student experience and student success
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Experience working with international students
• Familiarity with relevant information services and technologies (e.g. Moodle)
• An understanding of academic scholarship e.g. assessment design and feedback
• Commitment to EEO and WH&S principles
