About this Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the design and implementation of large-scale infrastructure modernisation projects. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and documenting strategies for the replacement/upgrade of End of Life and End of Support items, including discovery, analysis, recommendation, and migration.
  • Remediating key infrastructure risks by developing and documenting strategies.
  • Collaborating with outsourced ICT providers and business owners on technical strategies and tactical wins.
  • Ensuring that strategies and recommendations align with cloud/on-prem models.
  • Maintaining a smooth transition of final solutions to BAU teams.
  • Utilising information systems to interrogate, input, collate and retrieve data for operational support teams.
  • Working collaboratively with business and product stakeholders to understand needs, expectations and current pain points.
  • Maintaining currency and subject matter expertise through ongoing professional development and learning opportunities outside the formal education process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience as an Infrastructure Architect working in Federal Government.
  • At least 5 years' experience working within technology, networks and/or infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of or experience implementing ISM and Essential 8 controls.
  • Demonstrated experience with a broad range of infrastructure technologies, including Azure cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), Linux/Unix and Windows servers and databases, ICT services including DNS, NTP, AD, PKI, Microsoft Exchange, monitoring, logging, automation/CICD, and VDI technologies.
