Site Electrical Maintenance Technician

We seek an experienced site electrical and instrumentation technician to join our team in Townsville. The successful candidate will conduct on-site auditing, shop testing, and commissioning of electrode handling machines located at client and vendor facilities both domestically and internationally.
The ideal candidate will have mechanical maintenance experience working with PLC, robotics, pneumatic, and hydraulic machinery, as well as experience in copper/zinc refineries or electrowinning maintenance.
- Support the development, investigation, and implementation of machine projects (including automation) and other technologies.
- Fault-finding, maintenance, and repair of the cathode plate manufacturing facility to ensure optimal operation.
- Conduct routine electrode handling machine audits to support clients and external stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and optimize PLCs, robotics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers for long-term success.
