Electrical Service Technician Job

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Field Service Technician to join our team in Townsville. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting service and maintenance on equipment across the region, while developing and building relationships with customers.

The role involves:

  • Carrying out preventative and corrective Maintenance on equipment at customer's premises
  • Installing and Commissioning equipment under the guidance of Project Management
  • Completing all required paperwork neatly and accurately to ensure timely invoicing and payment from the customer
  • Providing basic technical on-the-job coaching to service technicians and offering feedback throughout the process
  • Ensuring that all customers' on-site procedures and policies are observed
  • Taking ownership of the job and using initiative to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Minimizing stock losses through regular rolling stock takes
  • Fostering relationships with both internal and external customers

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Full Electrical License
  • A Valid Driver's license
  • Extensive experience in Fault Finding
  • Service Work Experience and/or industrial experience
  • Availability for On Call (nights, weekends, public holidays) on a rostered basis
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Able and willing to use PDA (handheld computer)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, balance competing demands, and meet deadlines
  • Proactive approach in all aspects of the job
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • A highly motivated self-starter
