Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Recovery Team as a Recovery Team Leader. This is an exciting opportunity to take your career to the next level and lead a team of dedicated professionals in delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Support the nursing team in planning, assessment, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based, person-centered care.
- Collaborate with the perioperative management team to provide strategic leadership, supervision, and oversight.
- Demonstrate professional practice by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics, and conduct.
- Foster a learning environment through clinical presentations and provide supervision and teaching to peers, ENs, graduates, and students.
- Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices.
- Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive high-quality care across the healthcare continuum.
- Current AHPRA registration.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience as a Recovery RN.
- Prior experience as a CNS, acting NUM, or in charge in PACU will be highly regarded.
- Post-Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards).
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
- Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Passion for teaching, educating, and up-skilling staff in cardiac operating theatres.
