Digital Communications Officer

We are seeking a skilled Digital Communications Officer to join our team and contribute to our mission of advancing public sector education in Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Social Media Management: Manage and engage with our social media channels, monitor stakeholder engagement, and maintain consistent branding.
  2. Member Engagement: Identify opportunities to increase member engagement, analyse social media performance, and provide strategic insights.
  3. Web Content Management: Assist with web content management, SEO, and security as required.
  4. Stay Up-to-Date: Stay current with the latest social media trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Strong Social Media Understanding: A strong understanding of social media channels, including their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to engage with members across different demographics.
  • Experience in Fast-Paced Environments: Experience working in fast-paced environments, with the ability to make sound professional judgments under pressure.
  • Tertiary Qualification: A relevant tertiary qualification in public relations, communications, or journalism is preferred but not essential.
