About the Role

This position entails providing a comprehensive range of accounting and financial services across the organisation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading payroll processing, encompassing annual budget assumptions, month-end reconciliations, and forecasting
  • Monitoring payroll data and furnishing accurate and timely financial reports
  • Ensuring seamless mapping of payroll data from the payroll system to the budgeting and reporting system

You will also be responsible for overseeing revenue accounting processes, including analysis of funding guidelines, regular reconciliations, month-end processing, and forecasting. Additionally, you will provide recommendations for process enhancements to assist the Finance Department achieve best practice standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting/Commerce
  • Membership of professional accounting bodies such as ICAA and/or CPA
  • Proven technical accounting experience with month-end reconciliations, reporting, and analytical skills
  • Ability to analyse data, prepare recommendations, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with MagiQ and Oracle will be highly regarded
