Role Overview

The Fundraising Communications Specialist will develop and deliver engaging content to inspire connection and drive meaningful support for ministries serving people and communities in need.

This role requires a passionate storyteller who can move hearts and inspire generosity through the creation of compelling content across various formats, including print and digital channels.

  • Develop and implement an annual fundraising communications strategy, ensuring messages are inspiring, brand-aligned, and mission-driven.
  • Craft compelling content for appeals, donor journeys, social media, websites, and campaign collateral.
  • Collaborate with fundraising, creative, and donor services teams to tell powerful impact stories that resonate with donors and supporters.
  • Analyze and report on campaign performance to continuously improve engagement and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy and execution of all donor communications.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising communications plan.
  • Write inspiring copy for various channels, including appeal letters, newsletters, video scripts, and reports.
  • Engage and deepen donor relationships through tailored, mission-driven messaging.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in fundraising communications, copywriting, or donor engagement.
  • Exceptional storytelling and copywriting skills across various formats.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects to deadline.
  • Experience with CRMs, digital fundraising tools, and content planning.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
