Job Description

We are seeking a skilled technician to join our team due to growth. The role involves installations, repairs, and maintenance of products like filters and water systems, requiring troubleshooting via service manuals, diagnostics, and technical skills.

The successful candidate will have experience in installation, repairs, and maintenance roles, as well as trade qualification in plumbing or mechanical aptitude, or experience as a Trade Assistant.

  • Perform repairs and installations at customer sites as per daily schedules.
  • Conduct pre-install assessments and diagnostics for repairs.
  • Complete workshop repairs and assessments, providing information for quotes.
  • Manage customer enquiries, complaints, and technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and providing technical support.
  • Occasionally contact customers about their unit usage and maintenance issues.
  • Ensure job completion, follow-up, and scheduling of further appointments if needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Maintain service van stock and spare parts to reduce repeat visits.

Follow occupational health and safety policies and procedures.

Identify and maximize sales opportunities, including up-selling and cross-selling.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Trade qualification in plumbing or mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience in installation, repairs, and maintenance roles.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Physical fitness, stamina, and strength.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with computer systems and web technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously or in a team.
  • Motivated self-starter.
