Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare regular financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis to support strategic planning
  • Lead budgeting processes and forecasting cycles, collaborating with department heads for accurate financial planning
  • Manage daily cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital optimization across all business units
  • Evaluate and maintain compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations, and coordinate external audit processes
  • Develop and mentor junior finance staff, fostering professional growth and high-performance standards
  • Collaborate with operational teams to provide financial insights, cost analysis, and support for business development initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Skill and Qualification Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant qualification with 5+ years of senior finance experience
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems)
  • Expert-level Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards (AASB) and taxation requirements
  • Proven experience in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Prior experience in media, publishing, or similar industries preferred
