Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a highly organised and computer literate Medical Receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the front-of-house operations, meeting and greeting patients, answering phones, verifying patient details, completing invoicing and Medicare claims, booking appointments and maintaining accurate patient records.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a professional group of specialist physicians in a supportive and caring environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Reception duties
  • Meet and greet patients upon arrival
  • Answering phones
  • Verifying Medicare/health insurance details
  • Completing patient invoicing and Medicare claims
  • Booking patient appointments
  • Obtaining results and maintaining accurate patient records
  • Use of Genie software on Apple Mac

Requirements:

  • Highly organised
  • Computer literate
  • Able to work independently and part of a team
  • Knowledge of Genie on Apple Mac
  • Previous medical rooms experience essential
