About Family Contact
Establishing positive relationships between children and their families is crucial. Regular contact helps children develop a sense of identity and understanding of their origins.
We strive to facilitate consistent and regular contact in a friendly, relaxed setting that suits both parents and the child.
The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring the chosen location is safe and suitable for the child. Parents must agree on the venue beforehand, allowing you to communicate with them directly.
Visits are intended for one parent at a time to spend quality time in a conflict-free environment. Written permission is required for any exceptions.
Key Qualifications
We look for individuals with experience working with children, excellent communication skills, and a clean criminal record. Knowledge of the family court system and mandatory reporting procedures is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
As a supervised contact worker, you must remain present during visits, intervening if necessary. You will also provide detailed reports on all activities, behaviors, emotions, and interactions between parents.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. You will need to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
