About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our team at GFG Alliance. As a Payroll Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting our financial operations by processing payroll transactions accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll transactions, including daily communication with stakeholders and managing workflow to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
- Analyze and process timesheets for multiple locations.
- Understand taxation of employer-paid benefits and PAYG.
- Manage new starters and terminations.
- Generate fortnightly and monthly financial reporting.
- Leave processing, deductions, allowances, bonus, and choice of super.
- Build and foster strong relationships across the business.
Requirements
- Previous experience in payroll processing.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, awards, and ability to interpret employment contracts.
- Proficiency with SAP preferred, not essential.
- Intermediate experience in Excel and ability to generate financial reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication.
- High level of professionalism, dealing with sensitive, confidential documents and personal information.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to uphold compliance standards.
