Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Valuations Expert to join our team in Sydney.

  • This individual will support clients with valuation matters, including transactions, portfolio assessment, restructuring, and strategic planning.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Undertake valuations of businesses and intangible assets for various purposes, including management planning, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), tax, financial reporting, and disputes.
  • Take ownership of project delivery, managing and preparing valuation reports, and detailed financial modeling and analysis.
  • Think critically, identify issues, and propose strategies related to the advice being provided.
  • Maintain positive, productive, and professional relationships with client personnel and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in valuation within the Financial Services sector is required.
  • A degree in finance, economics, accounting, or business, with demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis is needed.
  • Possessing a CFA credential or actively pursuing one is advantageous.
  • Direct experience utilizing various valuation techniques and methodologies (market comparables, discounted cash flow, etc.) for different purposes is essential.
  • Experience in financial modeling in MS Excel and related software is preferred.
  • Experience conducting valuations for accounting and/or tax planning purposes is desired.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and teaming skills are required.
