About the Role

As a Legal Counsel, you will provide legal support across a wide range of commercial and project-related matters throughout the full project lifecycle.

You will assist in the review, drafting and negotiation of key agreements with contractors, regulators, and other stakeholders.

Additionally, you will work closely with business teams across development, finance, construction, and operations to enable project success.

Supporting engagement with external advisors and counterparties is also a key aspect of this role.

Finally, you will contribute to broader strategic initiatives and provide guidance on compliance and governance matters as required.

The successful candidate will be admitted as a lawyer in Australia, with 3-6 years of experience in private practice and/or in-house. They will have strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills, and be able to prioritise multiple tasks and take ownership of smaller matters while supporting complex projects.

  • Admitted as a lawyer in Australia.
  • Practising as a construction or major projects lawyer for 3-6 years in private practice and/or in-house.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills are essential for this role.
  • Candidates must be collaborative, adaptable and self-motivated, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine interest in the renewable energy sector and a pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset are highly desirable.
