The Role

We are seeking an organised and motivated individual to join our Adelaide Secretarial Team as a junior legal secretary. This role offers a unique opportunity to support our legal team, work across various commercial practice areas, and benefit from support and training as you grow into the position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising with clients and staff to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
  • Diary management and travel booking to maximise efficiency and productivity
  • Preparing correspondence, including emails, memos, and letters, to maintain a professional and polished image
  • Assisting with monthly billing and financial tasks to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Managing electronic documentation to maintain a secure and organised digital filing system
  • Providing relief reception services to support the team during peak periods
  • Performing additional administration duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the office

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role, with a strong focus on organisation and communication
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to maintain a professional and friendly tone
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and precision in all tasks
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, with a positive and supportive attitude
