"About the Role:

This casual role will have the opportunity to work within our venue and our experienced team to deliver an exceptional dining experience to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior chefs to ensure food standards are consistently maintained to meet guest expectations.
  • Demonstrate confidence and competence in preparation and cooking techniques, reflecting the high standards of our company.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of dishes at all stages, including preparation and presentation, to ensure a high-quality dining experience.
  • Work closely with the team in all aspects of kitchen operations and adhere to guidance and direction, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Follow and demonstrate established guidelines for food safety and handling, adhering to the highest standards of our company.
  • Ensure appropriate stock rotation, monitor stock levels, and assist with food costing and control, where required.
  • Contribute to aspects of kitchen presentation and operations, including maintenance, mise en place, and service, to ensure a seamless and memorable dining experience.
  • Demonstrate high respect and understanding for Work Health & Safety procedures, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and your colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Trade cooking qualifications are essential for this role.
  • Experience in a commercial cookery environment, with experience in functions is preferable.
  • Respectful and professional approach to work and working with a team.
  • A passion and appreciation for food and a desire to learn and grow with our company.
  • Ability to adapt, show resilience, and maintain high standards when under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Care and competence in maintaining high standards, even when under pressure.
  • Be physically fit to perform role-related tasks, including working on your feet, heavy lifting, and movement of goods.
  • An understanding of safe work practices with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Must have flexible availability, mostly night work from 2pm-10pm, though could at times include lunch & breakfast service.
