Job Title: Heavy Vehicle Operator

Detailed Job Description:
  • Operate a medium rigid MR vehicle for transportation of goods and personnel between locations.
  • Load and unload galley equipment onto a truck and drive to various aircraft, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to schedules.
  • Liaise with customers to confirm delivery details and ensure smooth handovers.
  • Perform driving duties over short distances, adhering to road safety regulations and company guidelines.
  • Responsible for marshalling other drivers on the tarmac, ensuring efficient airport operations.
  • Conduct basic serviceability and daily maintenance checks of vehicles and equipment, identifying any defects or issues that may impact performance.
  • Compile reports and documents detailing vehicle usage, maintenance requirements, and any incidents or issues encountered during operations.
  • Report all vehicle/plant defects to management, facilitating prompt repair and minimizing downtime.
  • Assemble, pack, and check off completed flights, verifying accuracy and completeness of shipments.
  • Follow up any discrepancies or issues identified during flight operations, resolving them in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform general cleaning duties of aircraft galleys, vehicles, and cabin service areas, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Provide buddy support to new staff members, assisting with their induction and training as required.
  • Maintain strict adherence to company specifications and standards, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism within the team.

Key Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience as a heavy vehicle operator, MR/HR license required, ability to communicate professionally and work without direct supervision.
