About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated full-time Chef to join our FIFO Resources Catering Team for a 2:1 roster flying from Cairns to our new site at Oak Rush Village Kidston.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in all food operations within the village, exceeding customer expectations in regards to a healthy and delicious food offering, while being in line with contractual requirements.
  • High volume catering, including bulk catering and function/banquet experience.
  • Interaction and customer service with guests and residents across the pass.
  • High volume barbeque and cook to order.
  • Confident to work in all areas; breakfast & crib, dinner service, and desserts/pastries.
Requirements
  • Australian Trade Certification or Cert III in Commercial Cookery (essential).
  • Previous experience in bulk cooking in remote mining villages and/or hotels preferred.
  • Passion for quality customer service and commitment to total guest satisfaction.
  • Professional approach.
  • Polished presentation and communication.
  • Defence experience is highly desirable.
