Program Coordinator Role

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall success of the Staying On Track (SoT) program, which aims to improve community safety and reduce reoffending by bridging the transition to the community when young people are released from detention.

The SoT program helps youth offenders turn their lives away from crime by providing them with the necessary tools and support to succeed in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of professionals to deliver high-quality services that cater to the needs of clients.
  • Manage team operations, including supervision, staff development, recruitment, induction, and rostering.
  • Oversee referrals from Youth Justice and allocate them to appropriate staff members.
  • Promote and maintain a culturally safe, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.
  • Ensure all legislative, regulatory, and contractual standards are met to ensure compliance and quality service delivery.
Requirements
  • Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Behavioural Science, Psychology, or related field.
  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Queensland Driver Licence.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the service region.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including on-call support.
