Steel Power Shelving is a fast-growing retail and distribution business specialising in the design, manufacture, retail, and delivery of storage systems and office furniture. Our products are manufactured in China and distributed to both business and household customers across Queensland, Australia. Position Overview

This exciting operational role oversees logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations, ensuring imported goods are cleared, stored, and delivered efficiently and cost-effectively. This vital function supports our growth ambitions and commitment to exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate inbound shipments from overseas suppliers, including customs clearance and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor stock levels and implement inventory control systems to maintain availability at minimum cost.
  • Supervise the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods through the warehouse.
  • Manage and allocate resources, including warehouse staff and delivery drivers.
  • Liaise with third-party logistics providers and monitor service performance.
  • Develop and oversee delivery schedules to ensure timely and accurate customer fulfilment.
  • Monitor logistics costs, including freight and distribution, and suggest process improvements.
  • Ensure accurate recording of supply, storage, and distribution activities.
  • Liaise with other departments to plan stock requirements and forecast demand.
  • Oversee compliance with workplace health and safety standards in logistics operations.
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and performance monitoring for warehouse and delivery staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Commerce, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Completion of courses or units specifically related to supply chain, logistics, or inventory management.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in logistics, warehousing, or distribution management.
