Job Overview

Electrical Commissioning Engineers play a crucial role in the commissioning of mission-critical electrical equipment, ensuring safe work practices and facility turnover. This position requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop electrical equipment and system test scripts to verify proper operation and functionality.
  • Coordinate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Inspect equipment to guarantee adherence to vendor submittals and industry standards.
  • Provide comprehensive test and documentation to confirm equipment installation, testing, and start-up.
  • Support design specification review, manufacturer submittals, one-line drawing sets, and project schedule documentation.
  • Ensure quality assurance and control of electrical equipment installation and start-up processes.
  • Assign test commissioning tasks to the electrical commissioning team, executing test scripts to confirm equipment and system operation.
  • Monitor and report on daily progress, status, and issues for the electrical commissioning team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an electrical or engineering field or equivalent years' experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in data center commissioning or facility engineering/facility management.
  • Proven track record in data center construction/commissioning, electrical switching operations, equipment inspections, low and/or medium voltage equipment commissioning, LEED commissioning, Factory Witness Test/Factory Acceptance Test attendances, leading electrical commissioning processes, equipment/facility handover, and data center facilities operations.
Working Conditions:
  • Extensive travel may be required (25-100%).
  • May be required to work in other regions within or outside of Australia.
