Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume a key role within our commissioning team. As Mechanical Commissioning Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical aspects of building commissioning projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and project management skills to drive business growth and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and scope management.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services that align with client needs and objectives.
  • Support the attainment of net fee booked plans by fostering collaboration across departments.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for select clients, providing exceptional service and support.
  • Develop and implement strategies for new business opportunities in the commissioning market.
  • Conduct technical assessments of project schedules, drawings, and submittals.
  • Develop commissioning implementation plans, reports, and checklists.
  • Provide technical advice to clients on project and operational risk.
  • Collaborate with general contractors to develop commissioning strategies and processes.
  • Manage factory tests, inspections, and reporting.
  • Attend project and internal meetings as needed.
  • Record meeting details and progress prerequisites.
  • Populate and manage data in project commissioning software.
  • Provide routine progress reporting and final project close-out reports.
Requirements
  • Strong technical background in engineering, preferably in MEP systems.
  • Excellent understanding of HVAC controls, T&B process, and other related systems.
  • Proven experience in commissioning or facility engineering, with a focus on data centers and health sectors.
  • Ability to work effectively with equipment inspections and Factory Witness Tests/Factory Acceptance Tests.
  • Committed to quality improvement and company values.
  • Must be willing to travel to site-based locations as required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Project.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical (university or TAFE) - advantageous.
  • Green Star AP, LEED AP, CSA, or LEED Associate – advantageous.
