Job Description:

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain heavy machinery such as excavators or backhoes safely and effectively.
  • Perform work near underground and overhead services while maintaining high standards of safety and duty of care.
  • Use various attachments associated with machinery for tasks like trenching and drainage.
  • Assist with set out works, establish line and level from reference points, and check accuracy of works during projects.
  • Coordinate routine works with supervisors, utilizing job co-ordination and administration skills.
  • Use and maintain small plant and hand tools safely and effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Essential Certifications:
  • SafeWork Construction Induction Certificate (WHS White Card).
  • Class MR Driver Licence.
  • Nationally accredited certificate or proven competency for LE – Excavator.
  • Nationally accredited certificate for Work Near Overhead Powerlines.
  • SafeWork accredited certificate for Traffic Controller.
  • SafeWork accredited certificate for Implement Traffic Control Plans.
  • SafeWork approved High Risk Licence for DG – Dogging.
