Job Description

As an Emergency Medicine Trainee, you will be responsible for assessing, investigating, and managing patients presenting to the Emergency Department under the supervision of experienced physicians.

You will assist with patient care, including coordinating admissions, assisting with patient assessments, implementing treatment plans, and organizing referrals. You will also perform procedures under instruction and supervision to contribute to learning and providing high-quality patient-centered care.

Additionally, you will participate in 24/7 rotating roster of days, evenings, nights, and weekends, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

\Requirements
  • Completion of at least three postgraduate years, including demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner in the last two years in a setting appropriate to the needs of the position.
  • Significant experience in an Australian Emergency Department or equivalent in the last two years.
  • Evidence of continued professional development and commitment to self-education.
  • Adept written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals.
