Trainee Personal Care Worker Opportunity

Are you a compassionate individual seeking a career in aged care? We are offering an entry-level traineeship program for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander individuals.

This 12-month full-time traineeship will provide hands-on experience, paid training, and the opportunity to achieve a nationally recognized Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing).

Upon completion, successful trainees may be offered ongoing positions within our team. In this role, you will work alongside nursing staff to deliver exceptional personal care to residents.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting individuals with personal care tasks such as showering, toileting, and grooming
  • Providing social support and encouraging clients to engage in hobbies and interests
  • Supporting the movement and transport of clients with mobility devices
  • Demonstrating high-quality person-first care that meets each client's unique needs
  • Communicating client progress and needs to supervisors while maintaining confidentiality

To be eligible for this role, you must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent. Additionally, you will need to obtain National Police Clearance and undergo regular flu vaccinations.
