About Our Employment Support Role

As an Employment Consultant, you will collaborate with individuals living with mental health conditions to support them into lasting and fulfilling employment.

This is a distinctive opportunity to shape the future of inclusive employment in Australia while making a profound impact on people's lives.

  • You will manage a caseload of participants and provide tailored, person-centred support to empower them to achieve their employment goals.
  • Deliver services using the Individual Placement & Support (IPS) Model, which is the world's most evidence-based approach to employment for people with mental illness.
  • Support participants through every step of their journey, from vocational profiling to job search, resume preparation, interview coaching, placement, post-placement support, and ongoing support.
  • Strive to exceed individual and team performance targets by delivering sustainable employment outcomes and contributing to the overall success of the service.
  • Build strong partnerships with local employers to create inclusive job opportunities and work collaboratively with community providers to ensure wrap-around supports for participants' wellbeing.
  • Monitor outcomes, keep accurate records, and contribute to continuous improvement in service delivery.
Your Requirements
  • A relevant Certificate III or higher qualification in Employment Services, Community Services, Mental Health, or a related field.
  • Experience in employment services, mental health support, or disability services.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with participants, their supports, and employers.
  • Business development skills and local employer connections are highly valued.
  • A current driver's licence and your own vehicle.
  • The ability to obtain all required clearances, including NDIS and Police Check.
