Safety Manager

A leading organisation is seeking a Compliance Specialist to join their HSEQ&T team. Reporting to the Manager, HSE you will coordinate and manage activities to ensure adherence to safety regulations and internal policies.
The role will also be responsible for overseeing Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems and coordination of injury management, return to work and workers compensation.
- Verify that the organisation adheres to all legal requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential compliance issues and assess the effectiveness of assurance programs.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety and compliance regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare and submit reports on compliance activities, incidents, and investigations to relevant stakeholders, including management and external authorities.
- Assist in the identification, assessment, and management of workplace risks.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have the ability to influence, engage and work collaboratively and effectively with diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders.
- Two years' experience as a practising Safety Practitioner (mandatory).
- Two years' experience in a Compliance role (mandatory).
- Lead Auditor Certification (Essential).
- Cert IV WHS (Essential).
- ICAM (desirable).
