Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will advise clients on best practices for speech and language development, collaborate with educators, professionals, and parents, and design tailored early development plans.

Your role will involve strategic planning, training, and program development, supporting a holistic approach to language and communication services. You do not need to be registered as a therapist to apply; this role suits professionals with extensive knowledge and experience, regardless of registration status.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct telehealth interviews and develop assessment plans for new clients.
  • Assess, screen, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Oversee and create intervention plans for clients to implement at home, school, or in the centre with therapy assistants.
  • Organize clients into groups and parent education seminars.
  • Manage cases ensuring multidisciplinary team (MDT) collaboration on six-month early intervention plans.
  • Secure client commitment, schedule appointments, and convert intakes into ongoing services.
  • Run webinars and online seminars as needed.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members.
  • Conduct telehealth parent consultations.
  • Complete reports including home programs, progress, and assessments.
  • Ensure high-quality, evidence-based, ethical care.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology (not necessarily registered).
  • Master's degree in speech therapy or speech-language pathology (not necessarily registered).
  • Experience with specific disorders and age groups may be required.
  • Understanding of speech-related disorders and treatments.
