About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of workshop technicians and trades assistants, ensuring compliance with safety systems, and providing technical assistance to all workshop personnel.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing and Leading a Team: The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, experience in managing teams, and the ability to lead by example.
  • Ensuring Compliance: The Workshop Manager will ensure that all policies and procedures are applied and adhered to, and that the workshop is operating within established guidelines.
  • Coordinating Service Jobs: The successful candidate will coordinate and allocate service jobs to the workshop, manage work-in-progress (WIP) service job management, and ensure that all jobs are completed on time and within budget.
  • Increasing Workshop Throughput: The Workshop Manager will increase workshop throughput by implementing efficiency gains in mid-job management, improving 6S and Lean practices, and encouraging continuous improvement.
  • Customer Service: The ideal candidate will provide superior customer service, building and developing relationships with the regions customer base, and liaising with clients to ensure work is carried out on time.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: The successful candidate will have proven leadership experience, with a strong track record of managing teams and driving results.
  • Technical Skills: A solid understanding of mechanical principles, experience with diagnostic tools, and proficiency in relevant software applications are essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management.
