Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team at Wahlburgers. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of culinary excellence, guest experience, and team performance in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including menu preparation, inventory management, and staff supervision.
- Participate in the hiring, training, and development of new staff members to ensure a high-performing team.
- Coach and counsel existing staff to promote a culture of excellence, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to achieve cost centre budgets and targets through effective planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Maintain our high standards for consistency in recipe and menu item execution, ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests.
- Close involvement in inventory management, ordering of food and supplies, and maintaining a safe and organized kitchen environment.
- Uphold restaurant safety, sanitation, and security standards at all times, including handling chemicals safely.
- Ensure a safe and harassment-free environment for all Team Members and Managers.
- Understand, comply with, and ensure team members are accountable for all company policies, procedures, and operating standards, as well as relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Minimum 3 years' kitchen work experience in high-volume environments, with management or supervisory roles preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire cooperation and teamwork through self-confidence, attitude, and enthusiasm.
- Extensive knowledge of kitchen operations and meticulous culinary skills.
- Knowledge of operations and maintenance of commercial food preparation equipment.
- Ability to manage inventory and allocate responsibilities and resources.
- Organized and systematic approach to work and the ability to prioritize efficiently.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Compliant and up-to-date on all necessary certifications.
As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of $65,000-$70,000 per annum, dependent upon experience. You will also receive discounts on meals and merchandise, access to on-the-job training programs in hospitality, and scope to grow within our organization.
