Cafe Chef Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Cafe Chef to create innovative Asian-inspired dishes.

This is a full-time role with sponsorship opportunity available.

  • Prepare and cook high-quality Asian fusion dishes.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising kitchen staff.
  • Manage weekly work schedules for staff and find replacements in case of absence.
  • Conduct menu assessments and ensure suitability of ingredients from suppliers.
  • Take a lead role in ensuring quality control in daily kitchen operations.
  • Take inventory of store supplies and order new stock as needed.
  • Verify delivered supplies and confirm correct items and quantities.
  • Research and compare suppliers.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in cafe/restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Asian cuisine and cooking techniques.
  • Commercial cookery qualifications (Cert III+).
  • Excellent cooking skills and attention to detail.
