As a Fitter, you will be responsible for:

  • Accurately interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Operating machinery to produce metal parts by turning, boring, milling, shaping, slotting, grinding, or drilling.
  • Fabricating steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel structures.
  • Performing plate profiling, machining, and lathe jobs.
  • Carrying out welding and insulation work.
  • Ordering and assembling metal parts accurately.
  • Assisting with equipment maintenance, repair, upgrades, and installations.
  • Performing scheduled inspections and condition assessments on machines.
  • Maintaining adequate stock levels of spare parts.

Skill and Experience Requirements:

  • Relevant trade qualification.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a related field.
  • Strong adherence to Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) principles.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions quickly.
  • Capacity to perform physical requirements of the role.
